WaveXR: A Multi-Channel Virtual Entertainment Platform for Live Concerts

We are excited to announce our investment in WaveXR, a multi-channel virtual entertainment platform for live concerts. As die-hard music fans, we’re super excited about the potential for this form of entertainment for generations to come.

As technology fluency accelerates and consumer behavior becomes increasingly multi-modal, the distinction between gaming, social, and entertainment experiences will continue to dissipate. In parallel, Gen Alpha and Gen Z are finding a sense of belonging and acceptance within games -- such as Roblox, Minecraft, and Fortnite -- and are excited about new interactive entertainment experiences that bring these communities closer together. 

In addition, Artists are exploring new ways to express themselves virtually and to connect to a global fan base in a much bigger way without the physical limitations of venues and exhaustion from being on the road. In the midst of all of these trends, a global pandemic has caused the cancellation and delay of in-person concerts until the end of 2021.
